What is Uber Cash?
Uber Cash is the payment method that is replacing Uber credits in the Uber App. Uber Cash can be used to pay for trips. Your Uber Cash balance can only be used in the country where you bought it and does not expire.
How to add Uber Cash?
To add Uber Cash balance in the Uber App, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you are using the latest version of the Uber App.
2. Open the Uber App, then select the "Menu" icon in the upper left corner of the home screen.
3. Select "Wallet".
4. Select on the "+ Add funds" option.
5. Choose "One-time purchase".
6. Select the amount you want to add.
7. Select the "Confirm" button.
8. Select your available payment method from the list, or add a new payment method by clicking on "Payment method".
9. You can activate the option "Automatic recharge" if you want to add Uber Cash automatically, this is done when your balance is less than 100 MXN.
You can configure your recharge with the following amounts: 300 MXN, 500 MXN and 1,200 MXN.
Gift Cards:
1. Gift Cards purchased from physical stores, OXXO. At the moment there are no online purchases. The available values for gift cards goes from 150 MXN to 5,000 MXN.
2. Gift cards purchased in virtual stores. At the moment there are no online purchases.
To add the Gift Card balance to Uber Cash follow these steps:
1. Make sure you're using the latest version of the Uber app.
2. Open the app, then select the "Menu" icon in the top left corner of the home screen.
3. Select "Wallet".
4. Click on the "Add Funds" option.
5. Select the "Gift Card" option.
6. Enter the code of your Uber Gift Card and click "Save".
7. Wait for the confirmation message.
