Uber Acuerdo is an option available in your city that will allow you to negotiate your trip’s fare with the Driver based on an amount of money suggested by the Uber App. You will have the chance to either choose or counterbid the suggested amounts.
HOW IT WORKS?
When you select the Uber Acuerdo option, you will see a suggested price on your app screen, as well as other price options, both higher and lower, so you can choose the amount you are willing to pay.
After submitting your offer, the closest Drivers will be able to review it, accept it, reject it or send a counteroffer. When the Driver sends a counteroffer, you will be able to check all the information through your Uber App, such as: the price of the counteroffer made by the Driver, their vehicle and the estimated time to reach your destination.
Then, when offers or counteroffers are accepted, the experience will be the same as the UberX modality, but without the possibility of changing the destination or adding stops as the agreed value will refer to the route initially requested. Therefore, please ensure you enter the correct locations before completing your trip request.
FOR HOW LONG WILL THE OFFER AND COUNTEROFFER BE VALID? WHAT HAPPENS IF NO ONE ACCEPTS IT?
Once you’ve requested a ride, your offer will be available for 30 seconds. If after this time, no Driver has accepted it, you will need to repeat the initial process. Remember that, the higher the value of your offer, the greater the probability the Drivers will accept it.
On the other hand, if you received a counteroffer, you will have 30 seconds to accept or reject it.
I CAN’T SEE UBER ACUERDO IN MY APP, WHAT DO I DO?
It is possible that this inconvenience is due to the fact that you do not have the latest available version of the Uber App and/or the product is not yet available in your city.
Updates to our software are available in the iOS and Android app stores to offer the best possible experience, so we recommend that you keep it updated to avoid errors during your experience with the Uber App.
WHAT CITIES IS UBER ACUERDO AVAILABLE IN?
Uber Acuerdo is currently only available in some cities in Mexico. If this option is available in your city, you will see it in your Uber App.
