What are Uber Shuttle promo codes and how do they work?

Uber Shuttle promo codes are special discounts designed to help you save on your rides. Here’s how they work:

  • Automatic application: If a promo code is available and eligible, it will be applied to your trip automatically.

  • Manual entry: If a promo doesn’t appear on your trip, you can enter it manually (see instructions below)

  • Pre-booking requirement: Promos must be applied before you book your shuttle. They can’t be added or changed after a trip is confirmed.

  • One promo per trip: Only one promo code can be used per ride. If the promo is for a fixed dollar amount, any unused portion won’t carry over to future rides.

  • Best promo wins: If you’re eligible for multiple promotions, Uber will automatically apply the one that gives you the biggest discount

  • Location and route restrictions: Some promo codes may only be valid in specific cities or for specific routes

  • Promo type limitations: Uber Rides and Uber Eats promos do not apply to Uber Shuttle trips

  • Promo expiration: Always check the expiration date. If your promo expires before the ride occurs, even if you booked while it was valid, the discount will not apply.

How do I add a promo code to my Uber account?

If a promo code wasn’t automatically added to your profile, you can manually enter it by following these steps:

  1. Open the Uber app and tap the Profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Promotions
  3. Tap Enter Promo Code
  4. Enter your promo code and tap Apply

How can I view my promo codes?

To check your current and past promotions:

  1. Tap the Profile icon on the main screen.
  2. Select “Promotions”.

You’ll see:

  • Active promos listed at the top, with expiration dates and any location or route restrictions.
  • Expired or redeemed promos listed below for your reference.

My promo code isn’t applying—what should I do?

If your promo isn’t working, check the following:

  • Expiration date: Ensure the code hasn’t expired.
  • Eligibility: Confirm that the promo is valid for your city and route.
  • Account issues: You may have another Uber account linked to the same device or payment method, which can affect promo eligibility.
