What is Uber Health?

Uber Health allows healthcare organisations to arrange and manage transport logistics for their patients and staff.

Our solution, built with healthcare privacy controls, helps enable access to care for people with transportation barriers. Uber Health helps patients and clinical staff arrange and schedule transport services with independent third-party providers while addressing logistical and structural barriers such as language or lack of tech proficiency using a smartphone. Riders don't need the Uber app, and communications are available in dozens of languages. The solution is built with care coordinators and providers in mind to help enable access at scale.

Where is Uber Health available?

Uber Health is available wherever Uber operates in Australia, Brazil, Canada (except Quebec), Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Uber Health cost

Pricing differs by service, but all fees are based on usage and there are no management fees on top of the trip fees. There is no fee for signing up and services are charged together. You can pay per trip by credit card or on a monthly cadence by credit card or bank transfer (some restrictions apply). Uber uses a dynamic pricing model, meaning prices will differ for each trip. If upfront pricing estimates are available in the selected city and with the chosen trip option, you'll see the price before you confirm the trip through the Uber Health dashboard. Who are the couriers and drivers?

Depending on the service type, drivers may be part of our network or provided through a third party. In all cases, they're screened before being matched to a request and then rescreened at various intervals.

• Trips and grocery/over-the-counter (OTC) delivery: Uber's existing driver network through the Uber Driver app.
• In the US, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT): Provided by a third party specialising in healthcare transport. Drivers are full-time employees trained to assist with physical, visual or mobility needs.
• In the US, prescription delivery: Provided through ScriptDrop, a company that manages a network of couriers, which may include those who use the Uber platform.
