Below are step-by-step instructions to become an Uber driver. Let’s get started!

Start with adding your personal details, using a mobile phone number and email address that is not in use with another Uber account. Make sure you select the correct city you would like to drive in.
Next, submit your Documents. Some of the documents you might need to upload:

Driver profile photo - this will be taken in a Greenlight Hub once you are ready to onboard with us
Valid identity document - you must be at least 21 years of age to drive with Uber
Valid UK driver’s licence - EU driver’s licence needs to be converted to UK driver’s licence before onboarding
Bank Statement for the bank account that will be used to receive payments from Uber - this must be in your name and at your registered UK address
A Private Hire Drivers licence - this will be from your local Council, read on below to find out how to apply

Private Hire Vehicle License - this will be from your local Council, read on below to find out how to apply
Private Hire Insurance - allowing you to transport passengers for hire and reward
A permission letter - if you are hiring a car but are not named on the insurance document
An MOT - if the vehicle is older than 5 years old
