Pharmacy Delivery FAQs

Pharmacy delivery entails transporting prescription medication to customers. While similar to standard deliveries, there are some key differences to note:

Recognizing a prescription delivery

  • When you get a prescription delivery request, an informational pop-up appears after the initial acceptance. This pop-up provides details on privacy and pharmacy protocols.
  • You can choose to proceed with the delivery or cancel the order in the app

Declining a prescription delivery

  • Feel free to decline any delivery you prefer not to take
  • Declining a prescription delivery will not impact your rating

Delivering a prescription delivery

  • Obtain a signature from the customer using the Signature Capture feature in your Uber app
  • The app will prompt you to record the customer”s signature and their relationship to the patient (themselves or parent)

Issues finding the customer or location

  • If you can’t find the customer, contact the sender for help
  • If contact is unsuccessful after 8 minutes, report an issue using the red triangle in the app
  • Use the arrow on the bottom banner of the app to access any special delivery instructions provided

Pharmacy deliveries must not be left unattended.

They must be handed to the customer or returned to the sender. If you need to return the items to the sender, you will receive additional pay for the return trip.
