What you’ll need

Before you bring smiles and satisfaction to customers, make sure you have:

• Your full name
• Social Security number
• Driver’s license information
• Birth date
• Vehicle details

Vehicle requirements:

• You must be at least 19 years old.
• You can drive either a 2-door or 4-door car.
• Your car must be covered by valid vehicle insurance.

Photo requirements

• A clear, current driver’s license or photo ID.
• A profile photo that looks like you.
• Proof of vehicle insurance.

If these documents aren’t added by the deadline, you won’t be able to go online.

Taking and adding a photo

When you’re ready to add your documents, ensure:

• The image is clear with all text readable.
• All four corners of the photo are visible in the image.
• Documents are current and won’t expire soon.
• Your name matches the name on your Driver profile.
• The driver’s license photo is required.

Background check

Uber is committed to safety. That’s why every new delivery person must complete a background check. Here’s what you should know:

• The check is done by one or more of our third-party providers, Checkr, Samba Safety, and HireRight
• It typically takes between 3-5 business days
• Your results will be reviewed to determine your eligibility
