WHAT IS THE UBER TRANSIT TICKET?
Uber Transit Ticket is a contactless ticketing service for public transit that works with Google Pay to make paying for public transportation simple.
In the Uber app, you can activate an Uber Transit Ticket by going to the app menu, then choose Transit Tickets. This activated ticket can be added to Google Pay on your Android device and used like a normal bank card but only for public transit.
HOW DO I USE MY UBER TRANSIT TICKET?
After you've activated your Uber Transit Ticket, open your Google Wallet and select the Uber Transit Ticket. Simply tap your device on the center of the faregate reader and wait for the green light. When boarding Metrobus, tap your device on the center of the fare box reader.
Make sure that you have the Uber Transit Ticket selected in your Google Wallet! If not, you might charge a different card in your Google Wallet.
It is best if you unlock your device as you walk up so that your Uber Transit Ticket is ready when you board.
At the end of the day, the payment method you selected in the Uber app will automatically be charged for your transit journey.
CAN I USE THE UBER TRANSIT TICKET TO PAY FOR MORE THAN ONE PERSON?
No. At this time, only one rider can use the Uber Transit Ticket at a time.
HOW DO I CHANGE MY PAYMENT METHOD FOR THE UBER TRANSIT TICKET?
Your payment method can be changed by selecting "Change payment method" from your Uber Transit Ticket Wallet in the app.
You may change your payment method as many times as you like, but your selection at the end of the day will be the payment method that is charged for your entire day's worth of activity,
