How do I tag menu items with dietary preferences?
- Open Menu Maker and click “Overview”.
- Search for or select an item to open the “Edit item” side panel.
- Click the “Details” tab.
- Under “Dietary attributes”, select from: Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free.
NOTE: If an item is tagged as Vegan, it will automatically be tagged as Vegetarian by default.
- Click “Save”.
How do I edit the tax rate?
- Open Menu Maker and click “Overview”.
- Search for or select an item to open the “Edit item” side panel.
- Find “Tax rate” and edit the item’s tax rate in the grey box.
- Click “Save”.
How do I change the order of menu items and categories?
- Open Menu Maker and click “Overview”.
- Drag an item or category to rearrange the order.
- Click “Save”.
How do I add custom hours or dates for an item?
Keep in mind: You can use this feature to set the dates for items that are only sold on 1 day of the week or for a limited amount of time each day. For example, if you sell a Soup of the Day, you can set custom dates so that the soup is only available on Tuesdays. If you only sell pancakes in the morning, you can set custom hours so that pancakes are only available from 9-11am.
- Open Menu Maker and click “Overview”.
- Search for or select an item to open the “Edit item” side panel.
- Click the “Details” tab.
- Under “Hours”, click the pencil icon to edit custom hours or dates for the item.
- Click “Save”.
How do I duplicate an item, category, or modifier group?
- Open Menu Maker.
- Search for or select the item, category, or modifier group you want to duplicate.
- Click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the “Edit item” side panel.
- Click “Duplicate”, then click “Save”.
How do I add a modifier group to multiple items at once?
- Open Menu Maker and click “Overview”.
- Select the modifier group you want to attach to multiple items. The “Edit modifier group” side panel will open.
- In the “Items” section of the side panel, click the + sign to add additional items.
- Add all desired items you wish to attach to the modifier group, then click “Save”.
