Uber for Teens is a new service that allows parents to invite teens (ages 13 - 17) to join their family profile and request their own rides and order their own meals, all under parental supervision.
We are committed to helping keep your teens safe, that’s why we added additional safety features such as; PIN verification, RideCheck, and Live trip tracking on all teen trips. You can learn more about our other teen safety features here.
Uber for Teens is currently available in select cities. The full list of those cities can be found here. If you are not currently in one of the cities listed, you will not be able to create a Teen account.
Please also note that if Uber for Teens is not available in your area riders must be 18 or older to ride with Uber.
In order for a teen account to be set up, a Family Profile will need to be created first. You can do this by following the Set up a profile link on this page or by following the instructions below.

You can access live teen trips in the “Activity” Hub located at the bottom of your Uber app. Once you’re in the “Activity” Hub, your teen trip will be located at the top most banner. You will also be able to access your live teen trip as often as needed during your teen’s trip.
Teens can contact Support directly through their app by accessing their trip in the Activity Hub, located at the bottom of the Uber app’s home screen.
Guardians can also contact Support by accessing their teen trip in the Activity Hub by selecting the filter button next to Past to switch and view all trips taken by their Family Profile members.
