For help with arranging an Uber Health ride, see this video or follow the instructions below.
To request a ride:
- Sign in to health.uber.com.
- Select Create New, Single Ride in the upper left.
- Fill out the required rider information.
- Select either One-way trip or Round-trip. Enter the pickup and dropoff locations. You can also drag the pin for a more precise pickup location.
- Select whether to schedule the ride or to have the flexible option which allows the rider to initiate their rides once they are ready by responding to the SMS they receive.
- For scheduled rides, select Future Ride and Choose date & time. The rider will receive an SMS containing all ride details.
- For flexible rides, select Future Ride and Make it flexible. The rider will receive an SMS with a link to request the ride when they’re ready.
- If booking a round trip, determine whether the return trip will be scheduled or flexible.
- Add a note to send to the driver (optional).
- Select a vehicle based on the vehicle size, wait time, and price.
- Customize the ride as needed.
- Choose from over 20 languages for rider’s texts and calls.
- Toggle on/off automated calling to have Uber call all riders listed with trip details.
- Enable share trip status to send ride tracking to others.
- Enter the expense code or memo (if required).
- Select Request now. You can also save the ride as a draft.
If the rider has an Uber account linked to the phone number used to request the trip, the rider may receive Uber app notifications with their trip details.
For scheduled rides:
Uber Health trips will display an estimated availability level for each vehicle type when scheduling a ride in advance to indicate driver availability.
- High availability: Over 90% confidence in driver availability based on historical trip data
- Medium availability: 70-90% confidence in driver availability based on historical trip data
- Limited availability: Under 70% confidence in driver availability based on historical trip data
To change the date, location, or vehicle type of a flexible or scheduled ride:
- Sign in to health.uber.com.
- Select Today’s activity or Upcoming and then the ride that needs to be updated.
- Select Edit ride and update ride details.
- Select Save changes.
Please note scheduled rides can only be edited up to 25 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. If you don’t see the option to edit your ride, you may be outside of the eligible window for changes to be made.
To re-book a trip or book a return trip:
- Sign in to health.uber.com.
- Go to Completed or Past activity on the left.
- Select the ride you want to re-book or book a return trip for.
- Enter the expense code or memo (if required).
- Select Re-book trip or Book return trip.
To cancel a ride:
- Sign in to health.uber.com.
- From Today’s activity or Upcoming (depending on when the ride is scheduled), find the ride you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel on the ride card.
- If canceling a round trip, you have the option of cancelling the first trip, the second trip, or both.
Cancelling a trip when the driver is already on the way may incur a cancellation fee on your account.
