A renewal package is mailed to each vehicle owner 120 days prior to the expiration date of the vehicle license. You need to pay your renewal fee to the TLC online (30-60 days in advance of the FHV expiration) at the link below.
The vehicle owner must email copies of the registration and insurance (FH1 and Certificate of Liability) to the TLC at renewvehmr@tlc.nyc.gov.
Once you've sent in the required paperwork, they will send you a date and time to go to the renewal inspection appointment.
If you've missed your appointment, the TLC will automatically reschedule on your behalf and notify you via email. If you need to confirm your email on file please visit the link below.
To note, if you have attended your scheduled appointment but did not pass, you can return the TLC as soon as repairs have been made.
