The Earnings Guarantee helps ensure Delivery People earn at least a minimum amount for their Engaged Time over each Earnings Period while completing deliveries on the Uber Eats platform with an MSO covered vehicle. (Learn more about Earnings Guarantee vehicle coverage)
At the end of each 3-week Earnings Period, Uber compares your net earnings with your guaranteed minimum, which is based on your Engaged Time during that Earning Period and vehicle type.
If your net earnings are lower than your guaranteed minimum during this period, you will receive an earnings top-up for the difference.
The Earnings Guarantee is a minimum, not a maximum. You can earn more than the guaranteed minimum amount during an Earnings Period.
The Earnings Guarantee is calculated over a 3-week Earnings Period, not on a trip-by-trip basis.
Earnings Periods run on fixed dates and are the same for all Delivery People who provide services using a MSO covered vehicle. Each Earnings Period starts at 4:00am local time on Monday and ends at 3:59am local time three weeks later on Monday.
At the end of each Earnings Period, Uber calculates your Earnings Guarantee using your Engaged Time, vehicle type and net earnings.

Your net earnings during the Earnings Period
At the end of each Earnings Period, your net earnings are compared to your guaranteed minimum amount. If your net earnings are lower than your guaranteed minimum amount, you will receive an earnings top-up for the difference.
A Delivery Person using a car completes 27 hours of Engaged Time and has net earnings of $740.50 during an Earnings Period.
Step 1: Calculate the guaranteed minimum
Step 2: Compare net earnings to the guaranteed minimum
Net earnings: $740.50
Guaranteed minimum: $864.00
Step 3: Calculate the earnings top-up
Because the Delivery Person’s net earnings were lower than their guaranteed minimum amount, they would receive an earnings top-up of $123.50.
Using the same example, if the Delivery Person’s net earnings were $910.50 instead, they would not receive an earnings top-up because they earned more than their guaranteed minimum.
After each Earnings Period ends, Uber calculates and finalises your Earnings Guarantee:
If you’re eligible for an earnings top-up, it will usually be paid to your Uber Driver account within 7 days after the end of the Earnings Period. For example, if the Earnings Period ends on 10 May, any top-up would usually be paid by 17 May.
If your net earnings are equal to or greater than your guaranteed minimum amount for the Earnings Period, you will not receive an earnings top-up.
In limited circumstances, an Earnings Guarantee may be reviewed before any earnings top-up is processed, which may result in a delay. You will receive an email and in-app notification if this is the case.
You’ll be able to view your Earnings Guarantee information in the Uber Driver app once it has been finalised.
