It is against the law to provide alcohol, tobacco or age-restricted items to a person under 18 (minor). The Uber app will be prompted to ask for ID scanning capability to support you in verifying age.
If the customer looks younger, they could be underage and using someone else’s ID or have a fake ID. Wrinkles, bumps or air bubbles could be a sign that the ID might be fake. It’s also a good idea to check the back of the ID for signs of fraud like font inconsistencies or tampered information. For digital IDs, you can find more information here.
If you believe that a user who ordered alcohol is a minor, please refuse to deliver and proceed to return the alcohol to the store.
