Our Community Guidelines require account holders to be at least 18 years of age and prohibit ride requests for those under 18, unless you’re using an Uber teen account. To create a teen account, guardians can invite their teen by following the steps below:

• Go to Family Members and select Add Family Member
• Search for your family member by name or phone number.
• Tap the empty circle next to their name and select Add

If a minor under the age of 18 doesn’t have an Uber teen account, they must be accompanied by an adult when using Uber. Accounts used to transport unaccompanied minors may be deactivated.
