Consolidated invoicing

Consolidated invoicing provides organizations with a monthly consolidated invoice containing all charges related to Uber rides and Uber Eats orders (depending on what feature is enabled for the region) during that month.

This feature is only available for organizations with monthly billing enabled.

This invoice shows charges only for Uber rides or Uber Eats orders, as applicable, and not for other programs enabled by the organization. Please refer to the region-specific information below for more details.

Please refer to your monthly statements which can be downloaded directly from the dashboard for a summary of all active programs on the account. For making payments, please refer to your monthly statements, which can be downloaded from the dashboard.

Enabling consolidated invoicing

Please reach out to your account executive to enable consolidated invoices. The feature is currently only available for accounts with an account executive assigned.

Disabling consolidated invoicing

To disable consolidated invoicing, please contact Support.

Accessing invoices

Once enabled, consolidated invoices for the previous month are emailed to the statement recipients listed on the business account within the first 5 business days of the month. The email will include a link to download the invoice that expires after 30 days.

To download invoices for a previous month, navigate to the Billing page of the admin dashboard.

Update tax details

To update tax details:

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Navigate to the profile icon in the top right of your screen.
  3. Select Account.

From here, administrators can update the: * Company name * Billing address * Tax ID

Details must be updated by the 25th of the current month to reflect on the upcoming month invoice.

Consolidated invoices for Uber Eats

Consolidated invoices for Uber Eats is available in Spain, France, and Germany. Consolidated invoicing can be enabled on product level. If an organization has consolidated invoicing enabled for Uber Eats, invoices will show charges only for Uber Eats for Business orders and not for other products or programs enabled by the organization.

Once consolidated invoicing is enabled for an organization, individual order-level invoices won’t be generated for Uber fees for domestic orders. This won’t impact merchant-level invoices and international order invoices.

Organizations located in Spain, France, and Germany can download tax invoice and commercial invoice.

Tax invoice: The top section Uber Eats fees, groups Uber service charges for domestic orders and corresponding VAT amounts. This section can be referred to for claiming VAT credit (if applicable).

Commercial invoice include:

  • Domestic merchant charges
  • Uber promotions
  • Courier tips
  • Uber and merchant charges for international orders

The administrator should contact Support to disable consolidated invoicing. Once disabled, individual order level invoices for the rides/orders would resume.

Consolidated invoices for rides

Consolidated invoicing can be enabled on product level. If an organization has consolidated invoicing enabled only for rides, invoices show charges only for Uber rides and not for other products or programs enabled by the organization. Tax rules vary by region. Refer to regional level details below.

Spain

Organizations located in Spain can download their tax invoice and supplemental documents containing details for domestic private hire vehicle (PHV) trips.

Tax invoice issued on behalf of the merchant includes the following charges for domestic PHV trips:

  • Aggregated transportation charges and toll charges made during the billing cycle
  • Administrative fee calculated on PHV trips total of previous month
  • Toll charges
  • Corresponding VAT amounts - refer to this when claiming VAT credit

Supplemental documents (not an invoice for tax purposes) includes all other charges without any tax break up such as:

  • Domestic taxi trips
  • International trips
  • Promotions and adjustments
  • Deductions for payments by employees or guests
  • Tips

Administrative fees are 1% of domestic PHV trip total collected by the third party (single merchant) that provides the single monthly tax invoice for the organization. This fee will be included as a separate line in the next month’s invoice.

India

Organizations located in India can download tax invoice and commercial invoice.

Tax invoices include:

  • Aggregated domestic Uber to rider amount and corresponding GST tax amounts
  • Aggregated adjustments with tax amounts
  • Aggregated discounts on Uber fees along with tax amounts

This section can be referred to for claiming GST credit, if applicable.

Commercial invoices have aggregated amounts without tax details covering:

  • Domestic Driver to Rider (D2R) amount, such as transportation charges, tips, etc
  • International trip amount
  • Adjustments
  • Payments made by guests or employees

Individual ride invoices

Trip-level invoices issued by Uber to riders on domestic trips will be disabled to offer consolidated invoice to customers. There are no changes for trip-level invoices issued by drivers or for international trip invoices.

KSA

Organizations located in KSA can download tax invoice and commercial invoice.

Tax invoices include:

  • Aggregated domestic Uber to rider amount and corresponding GST tax amounts
  • Aggregated adjustments with tax amounts
  • Aggregated discounts on Uber fees along with tax amounts

Tax invoice provides charges for all Uber to rider charges along with VAT amounts for domestic trips and Uber discounts on domestic trips.

Commercial invoices have aggregated amounts of the following charges

  • International trips (including tax amount)
  • Tips
  • Payments made by employees or guests
  • Adjustments (without tax amounts like refunds)

Domestic trip-level invoices would be stopped if consolidated invoicing is enabled.

Individual ride invoices:

Trip-level invoices issued by Uber to riders on domestic trips will be disabled to offer consolidated invoice to customers. There are no changes for trip-level invoices issued by drivers or for international trip invoices.
