Improving your trip rating

We know that sometimes things happen on a trip that you can’t control, and that can affect how riders rate you. Keep in mind:

  • One ride won’t make or break your rating: Your overall rating is an average of the last 500 trips you’ve completed, so a single rating won’t have a significant impact
  • Certain issues are excluded: If a rider’s negative rating is due to issues like “too many pickups,” fare price, or technical problems with the app, it won’t count against your overall rating

Tips for a 5-star experience

To consistently earn great ratings, top drivers recommend: * Maintain a clean, odor-free, and well-kept vehicle * Be friendly and greet riders with a smile * Check with riders about their preferred route * Use GPS when the rider doesn’t have a preferred route * Engage in polite, professional, and respectful conversation * Dress in a professional manner * Offer to open vehicle doors for riders * Consider providing extras like bottled water, snacks, gum, mints, or cell phone chargers * Assist with luggage and bags when it’s safe.
