About Car Rentals through Uber

With Car Rentals through Uber, customers can book a rental car directly through the Uber app with options tailored to their needs, style, and budget. Whether you’re looking for a compact car for city driving, a spacious SUV for a road trip, or a premium vehicle for a special occasion, there’s a rental option for every occasion. We partner with more than 1,700 rental providers worldwide, including companies such as Avis, Budget, Hertz, Sixt, and many more.

In the United States, you can choose the rental experience that works best for you. Depending on the reservation you select, you can either:

• Pick up and return the vehicle yourself at the rental supplier’s location, or
• Use Car Delivery (available in select U.S. cities), where a driver picks up the rental vehicle from the supplier and delivers it directly to you. At the end of your reservation, the driver will collect the vehicle from your designated location and return it to the rental supplier on your behalf, allowing you to skip the rental counter entirely.

Payment options vary depending on the reservation you choose. Some reservations allow you to pay in advance in the Uber app, while others are paid directly to the rental supplier when you collect your vehicle. The available payment option will always be shown during the booking process.
