What is Uber Shuttle?

Uber Shuttle is a new way to enjoy a comfortable, safe, and convenient commute.

Uber Shuttle uses technology to reserve your seat on a clean, air-conditioned, and high-quality bus. When you request your ride through the app, you will see all the possible timings that you can book and will get to schedule your whole week ahead. Also, because you are sharing your rides with other Uber passengers, the price is affordable enough for everyday use, while still maintaining Uber standards.

Where is it available?

Currently, Uber Shuttle is only available in select cities in Egypt and India.

What is the pricing for a trip?

The pricing is based on the distance of your trip. Tariffs differ depending on the city.

How to ride with Uber Shuttle?

1. Update: Make sure you are using the latest version of the Uber app.
2. Request: Enter your destination, select the Shuttle option, review your fare, select your preferred pick-up timing, select the number of seats and then tap Request.
3. Trip Details: Wait a few minutes to see your trip details. You will see the information about your trip in the app: driver information and pickup spot. At this point, your seat on a clean, air-conditioned vehicle has been reserved. You can track it on the way to your pickup spot.
4. Walk: Walk to the pickup spot you see on the map and make sure you arrive before your bus gets to the pickup spot. The driver will only wait 2 minutes at the pickup spot.
5. Ride: Show your ticket to your driver, pay your driver with cash or through the app as you get in the bus and enjoy your ride in your personal seat.
6. Walk to Destination: When you get closer to your destination, we will find the best drop-off spot that is close to your final destination and works for the route you are on. You will see walking directions to your final destination in the app.

You can also use the Uber Shuttle app to request a trip. The Uber Shuttle app works on all Android devices and in all network conditions.

Can I prebook?

Yes, you can pre-book any time from one week before the requested time and date. You also have the option of booking more than one bus throughout the whole week.

Why don’t I see the vehicle view except in the district?

You cannot see the product unless you are in the vicinity of the route. As routes begin being activated in other districts, you will begin seeing the view.

Can I order the shuttle from anywhere in my city?

No, there are specific lines that we follow, and therefore your pickup and drop-off points need to be near those areas.

Can I ride with a friend?

Yes, you can request for multiple people from your own account.

What is the maximum number of riders?

There can be a maximum of 3 riders.

What are COVID-19 safety measures?

We’re following hygiene precautions & the latest safety guidance for Shuttle trips.

How can I refer a friend?

Any rider who has taken at least 1 Shuttle trip is eligible for this program. To refer a friend, please check the following steps:

• Go to the Uber App Menu bar.
• Select “Free Shuttle rides”.
• Open “FAQs” to read the details of the program.
• Tap on the “Refer Friends” button.
• Choose how you’d like to send the referral code through Whatsapp, SMS, email, etc.
• Ask your friend/s to use the referral code to take their first free trip to get your free trips.
