What is a cover image?
A cover image is the image that shows up for customers on the app when they see your shop.
To submit a cover image for approval, contact Support with the image you wish to use. You can also upload your own cover images through Uber Eats Manager following the steps below:
- Sign in to Uber Eats Manager.
- Select the Shops Page tab.
- Click the drop-down in the top right and select Cover image.
- Click Update cover image.
- Upload your photo and click Save.
After uploading your cover image, you can check the status:
- Pending means your cover image is under review.
- Approved means your cover image has been approved and is visible.
- Rejected means your cover image cannot be used. If a cover image is rejected, click See reasons to view a detailed list of reasons for the rejection.
Images uploaded will be sent directly to our content approval process team for review. The new cover image will move to ‘Pending Approval’ status. Once reviewed, the new image will either be approved or rejected. If approved, the cover image can be applied to multiple locations with the Apply to multiple shops option. The review process can take up to 3 working days.
By following the guidelines below, you’ll have a stronger chance of getting your cover image approved:
- Aesthetically pleasing pictures
- Margins must fill the expected dimension (2880 pixel width and 2304 pixel height)
- Use a JPEG format with a 5:4 aspect ratio
- Picture must be centred, level and properly cropped
- Display products and/or meals that will be available for customers to buy
- Cover image must contain items relevant to the shopfront (example: flowers for a florist) with a simple background (wood, stone, marble, etc.)
- Brand names are allowed as long as they don’t overpower the image and you own or have the right to use the name or logo (pro tip: use the name in a soft font to the side if you want to)
- We don’t recommend using images that include people (including minors, celebrities and employees), as this would require their image authorisation
- Consider politically correct images when displaying products for adults (like alcohol)
