Self-service vouchers FAQ

Self-service vouchers allow businesses to create rides and Uber Eats vouchers after signing up for an Uber for Business account.

Signing up and creating vouchers

To get started with self-service vouchers:

  1. Create an Uber for Business account here.
  2. Verify your email and create a password. This will take you to the Vouchers dashboard to set up your campaign.
  3. Select the type of voucher you want to create.
  4. Enter the details for your voucher campaign.
  5. Review the voucher campaign details and add a credit card (other payment methods aren’t supported). A pre-authorization hold is applied to verify your card, which is voided after 24 hours.
  6. Click Finalize campaign to start your voucher campaign.

During the campaign, your credit card will be charged at the end of every day for the value of all vouchers that were used. You are financially responsible for all used vouchers, even if the voucher is misused or used by someone unintended.

You can manage your voucher campaign and create new ones from vouchers.uber.com.

When creating vouchers, you agree to follow all laws and regulations applicable to the marketing, advertising, and distribution of the vouchers, and will not harm the goodwill or reputation of Uber. You may not distribute vouchers for any prohibited purpose listed in the Vouchers Brand Guidelines, including transporting, facilitating, or promoting illegal activity, illegal products, or discriminatory practices or events. Additional terms apply.

I already have an Uber for Business account

If you already have an Uber for Business account but don’t have Vouchers enabled, you can get started with self-service vouchers here.

When am I charged?

During the campaign, your credit card will be charged every 24 hours for the value of all vouchers used in the past 24 hours. You are financially responsible for all used vouchers, even if the voucher is misused or used by someone unintended.

To make a manual payment:

  1. Sign in business.uber.com.
  2. Go to Billing.
  3. Under “Total amount due,” click “Make payment.”
  4. In the pop-up, select whether you’d like to pay the total balance or a different amount.
  5. Select a payment method from the “Payment method” dropdown.
  6. Click “Submit payment.”

You can only make one manual payment per day.

If you make a manual payment, your account will still be automatically charged at the end of the 24-hour period for any owed amounts, including:

  • Vouchers used after you made the manual payment
  • Amounts not covered by the manual payment amount
