What is a cartop?
The cartop ad program is an opportunity for drivers in certain markets to opt-in to having a cartop ad display installed on their vehicle. These displays will automatically show ads in certain areas, and eligible drivers will earn additional income by displaying these ads.
How can I get a cartop?
If you are eligible for a cartop ad through Cargo, you should have already received communication from Uber. To schedule an installation, use the cartops menu in the driver app. You can view the cartops menu by following these steps.
1. Tap on the menu on the top left hand side of the home screen.
2. Tap on "Account"
3. Tap on "Cartop Display"
From here, tap "Join Waitlist" to let us know you're interested. You'll receive a notification in-app when it's time to schedule your cartop ad display. This notification may take some time to arrive, so make sure to keep an eye on your in-app notifications.
How do I schedule maintenance on my cartop?
To schedule maintenance or removal of your cartop ad with Cargo, you can use the cartops menu in the app. To access the menu, you can follow this link. Use your uber login info to sign in to the Cargo website. From there, you can schedule with Cargo. To contact Cargo support, send them an email at support@drivecargo.com.
How do I view my earnings with cartop?
You can view your earnings in the cartops menu in the driver app. As a reminder, the steps to access the cartops menu are:
1. Tap on the menu on the top left hand side of the home screen.
2. Tap on "Account"
3. Tap on "Cartop Display"
Each week, you can make $40 for your first 20 hours of driving with a cartop display and $10 for every 5 hours of driving with a cartop display, up to $150 per week. Your earnings will appear on your pay statement as a miscellaneous payment.
