To drive with Uber, provide these documents:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current vehicle registration
- Proof of insurance
To upload documents to your account, sign in to drivers.uber.com to visit your dashboard OR follow these steps in the Driver app:
- Open the Uber Driver app.
- Tap the menu (three lines) on the top left.
- Select Account.
- Tap Documents.
- Choose the document you need to upload or select Take photo.
If your document doesn’t get approved, it might be because of the following:
- You didn’t meet the eligibility requirements.
- Your vehicle didn’t meet Uber’s requirements.
- There were issues with your uploaded document.
Below are some common document issues:
- Ensure the photo is clear and well-lit.
- Upload photos of the original document.
- Show all four corners of the document in the photo.
- Provide the specific document requested.
- Check that documents are current and won’t expire soon.
- Make sure all text is legible.
- Complete all required fields.
Allow 1-5 days for Uber to review your documents. Make sure everything is correct before submitting to prevent delays.
