How do I sign up to other products?

We want to give our riders the option of enjoying an improved premium experience. If you are currently an UberX partner-driver and want to sign up to other products, please refer to the instructions below.

If you meet the criteria for a product, eligibility is applied automatically to your account. Please allow up to 72 hours for changes to reflect in your Uber app.

Uber Comfort

Uber Comfort is a mid-tier product that sits between UberX and Exec in terms of fare, and is available in selected cities.

Eligibility criteria

For London: vehicles must be a maximum of 7 years old (rolling basis).
For the rest of the UK (RoUK): vehicles must be a maximum of 10 years old (rolling basis).
For example: in 2026, you need a vehicle manufactured in 2019 or later for London, and 2016 or later for RoUK.
All vehicles eligible for Exec are also eligible for Comfort.
The same requirements apply if you would like to opt in for Business Comfort trips (London only).

Exec

Exec riders expect an elevated service that goes beyond a great car and impeccable manners, so Exec drivers are expected to deliver a premium experience.

Eligibility criteria

Maintain a rating of 4.85 or higher.
Vehicles must be a maximum of 6 years old (rolling requirement).
From 1 October 2025, vehicles must be registered on or after 1 January 2019.
From 1 January 2026, vehicles must be registered on or after 1 January 2020.
All vehicles eligible for Lux are also eligible for Exec.

UberXL

If you have an XL-eligible car, you can drive on UberXL. With UberXL you can seat extra passengers and receive higher fares with your high-capacity vehicle.

Eligibility criteria

Your vehicle must have at least 6 passenger seats in addition to the driver seat.
You must hold a private hire vehicle licence that covers 6 or more passengers.
An UberX fare can’t be adjusted to an UberXL fare if there are more than 4 passengers.

This feature can be turned on/off with the toggle in your Driving Preferences.

ExecXXL

High-end cars for large groups and luggage. Currently live in select cities across the UK region.

Eligibility criteria

You must be licensed to carry a minimum of 7 passengers
Maintained a rating of 4.85 or above
Vehicle model maximum of 6 years old for London, and 10 years old for RoUK. This policy will be implemented on a rolling basis, e.g. in 2026, you need to have a vehicle manufactured in 2019 or later for London, and 2016 or later for RoUK
