New York City regulations set a minimum earnings guarntee pay rate for delivery couriers for time spent on trips.
As of April 1, 2025, the minimum earnings standard consists of an hourly rate of $21.44 per hour of trip time, plus additional earnings calculated based on market-wide factors. This rate is subject to change based on city regulations.
Trip time is the time from when you accept a delivery offer until you complete the delivery or the trip is canceled. Time spent online waiting for an offer is not considered trip time. For batched trips (multiple orders at once), all time spent from accepting the first order to completing the last one counts as continuous trip time.
Your earnings are reviewed over a 7-day period that starts on Monday.
If your actual earnings are less than the guaranteed amount, you will receive a “top-up” payment.
