Uber Flash works in pretty much the same way as requesting an UberX ride. But instead of requesting a ride to transport a person, you will be sending an item or documents.
Depending on the version of your application, the steps to request a delivery may vary.
To send or receive with Uber Flash, follow these steps:
1 - Open the Uber app and go to the “Send” section (image of a box) on the home screen.
2 - Choose if you will send or receive an item.
3 - Enter the pick-up and drop-off point for the item you want to send or receive.
4 - Add the information of the person who sends or receives the item (name and phone number). Always remember to complete this information, so you can activate the delivery using PIN.
5 - Select the Uber Flash / Flash Moto option and confirm the delivery. Remember to verify the payment method you selected. Currently, the delivery PIN will be available only in digital payment methods.
6 - When the Collaborating or Delivery Partner arrives, you must give them the correctly packaged item. If you chose to pay in cash, the delivery must be paid by whoever requested the service through the application. Remember that the rate of your delivery is calculated based on time and distance, so additional charges could apply due to traffic, for example. In these cases, if your payment method does not cover the total of the final fare, a pending amount may be generated that you will have to pay on your next trip.
7 - Remember that you are responsible for the item, make sure the person sending or receiving is ready to send or pick it up and share the PIN (if active) with the person. Both of you can track it on the app.
If the PIN is active, it will be visible in your app and will also be shared with the person receiving the item. This person will need to share it with the Collaborating or Delivery Partner to ensure that the package is delivered to the correct person.

Delivered items are not insured. We reinforce that Uber Flash Collaborators are experienced and have gone through filters and security validations to ensure that your items will reach the receiving person.
In case of not receiving an item, we will consider contacting the Collaborating Partner for more information and to learn if there are any complications during the delivery process. We inform you that, in case of loss, it will not be possible to cover the cost of the delivered item, since this service is provided by the Collaborating Partner, not by Uber.
