To become an Uber Eats courier you will need to be at least 18 years old and have the appropriate right to work. Below you can find the step-by-step guide to delivery. Let’s get started!

1. Start with adding your personal details and select your vehicle:

  • Bicycle or e-bicycle

  • Motorbike or e-Moped

  • Car

2. Next, submit your Documents. You will need to upload the below documents:

Bicycle or e-bicycle:

  • Front and back of your photo ID (passport from any country, EU citizen/Identity card, EU/UK driving licence)
  • DVLA counterpart check code if submitting a UK driving licence
  • Bank Statement (dated within last 3 months)

Motorbike or e-Moped:

  • Front and back of your EU/UK driver’s licence OR front and back of provisional driving licence and CBT certificate
  • DVLA counterpart check code if submitting a UK driving licence
  • Bank statement (dated within last 3 months)
  • Insurance certificate for the relevant vehicle that covers food delivery or hire and reward not excluding food delivery

Car:

  • Front and back of your EU/UK driver’s licence
  • DVLA counterpart check code if submitting a UK driving licence
  • Bank statement (dated within last 3 months)
  • Car insurance certificate for the relevant vehicle that covers food delivery or hire and reward not excluding food delivery

To upload documents, please use your app or sign in to partners.uber.com. Please allow up to 5 working days for us to review your documents.

3. Once your documents have been approved, you will need to complete an additional ID verification process with our third party provider, Ubble.

  • Once your ID document has been approved, you will receive an external link via email to complete this. Please allow up to 72 hours for your submission to be reviewed. Kindly note that the link expires after 90 days.

4. Finally, complete your Background Check. It can take up to 2 weeks for this to be completed:

  • Once all of your documents are approved by Uber EATS, you will receive an email from Uber asking you to complete your background check.

  • Please note our partner Sterling may require you to provide an additional set of information and documents to complete both the right to work and the basic disclosure check.

  • Please be aware that you will need to complete a background check that is associated with your Uber Eats delivery partner account, regardless of whether you may have completed one previously for another company.
