Pagar impuestos como socio de la App en la plataforma de Uber

Drivers and couriers on the Uber platform are classified as independent contractors. As an independent contractor, your taxes are not withheld by the federal or state government. This means that it is your responsibility to file taxes at the end of each year.

You may receive a 1099-K and/or 1099-NEC form.

  • The 1099-K form reports earnings from third-party transactions.
  • You will receive a 1099-K if you earned more than $600 in gross unadjusted earnings.
  • If your accounts use a different email address, your earnings from deliveries and rides will separately determine if you meet the earnings and trip criteria to receive a 1099-K and/or a 1099-NEC.

The Tax Information tab on your Driver Dashboard should provide everything you need to file your taxes as an independent contractor.

Uber does not provide tax advice. We recommend that you seek guidance from a qualified tax service like TurboTax or contact an independent tax professional for specific answers to tax questions. You can also check out the IRS website for more information.
