Driving Insights Dashboard

The dashboard is a tool to help you learn about how you drive while using Uber. It can show you driving data and feedback.

Data collection process

While you’re heading to pickup, on a trip, or making a delivery, your phone records certain types of data. Information like GPS data can help detect speeding. Riders provide the ratings and feedback. For more details, check Uber’s Privacy Notice.

Frequency graph

The frequency graph shows the percentage of trips where you may have been speeding each day.

Summary contents

The Summary lists how many times your phone detected speeding.

Rider feedback section

This section shows the average star rating you get for trips with unsafe driving feedback. It’s an easy way to see your unsafe driving trips.

Trips shown on the dashboard

You’ll see trips where you were driving far over the speed limit for a significant distance. Keep in mind that the dashboard might not show every time you were speeding.

Information visibility to riders, customers, or other drivers

No. Riders, customers, and other drivers can’t see the data shown in this dashboard.

Law enforcement’s access to this data

Uber doesn’t generally give police and other law enforcement agencies access to this information. However, we may have to provide it in some cases according to our public safety guidelines.

Data sharing

We don’t share the data in this dashboard with any third parties, unless we’re required to for legal reasons.

Turning dashboard off

This feature is completely optional. You can’t turn it off, but you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.
