Traveling with infants and young children
Rider responsibilities:
- Riders traveling with young children must provide a car seat as per our Community Guidelines
- Comply with all local child transportation laws
Driver choices:
- Drivers may choose to allow child safety seats
- If a rider doesn’t have a car seat and it’s against local laws or you’re uncomfortable, you can politely refuse the service.
Car seat service:
- In select cities, riders can request a vehicle equipped with a car seat by selecting the Car Seat option in the app when booking
- Car Seat trips must be reserved in advance
- Drivers receive an extra $7 for Car Seat trips
If you have to cancel a trip to comply with local car seat laws, you can let us know. Trips canceled because a rider doesn’t have the required car seat may incur a cancellation fee.
