Qu'en est-il des impôts pour les livreurs avec Uber Eats? Que dois-je faire si je suis un livreur avec Uber Eats et un chauffeur offrant des services de covoiturage?

Because you’re a Driver, you’re an independent contractor. You’ll need to report your income for the year and pay applicable taxes.

You’re responsible for collecting, remitting, and filing sales tax on all rides to the CRA.

You can access your Tax Settings in the Driver app

If you earn over $30,000 in revenue over the past 4 quarters, you will need to provide Uber Eats with your HST/GST registration number.

To do so, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to drivers.uber.com
  2. Go to the tab ‘Invoice Settings’
  3. Complete all of the fields, including ‘Vat Status and Settings’
  4. Click the checkbox under ‘Disclaimer’
  5. Hit ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page

Once you’re registered, we’ll collect sales tax on your behalf and return it to you in full. You will be required to remit a portion of these taxes to the CRA at the end of the year.
