Tarification à l'avance

Upfront fares let you see how much you’ll make and where you’ll go before accepting a request.

The amount you see upfront is calculated using several factors, including:

  • Base fares
  • Estimated trip length and duration
  • Pickup distance
  • Surge pricing

Payments for factors that we can’t predict, such as wait times and tips, are still added after the trip.

To help you make your decisions, we’ll show the cross streets closest to the pickup and dropoff points. As always, it’s up to you to decide if you want to accept requests. When trips take a surprise turn—when there’s unexpected traffic, for example, or a change of address—the fare will update accordingly.

If you find a route that’s more efficient and finish the trip quicker than expected, you’ll still get the upfront fare. In that case, as long as pickup and dropoff addresses don’t change, the upfront fare can only increase.

Upfront fare and destination applies to UberX, UberXL, Uber Comfort, Uber Black, Uber WAV, Uber Assist, Uber Español, Uber Diamond, Uber Pet, UberX Car Seat, and Uber Taxi. Uber Hourly trips are not included in this change. Since the upfront fare factors in pickup distance, you won’t receive a separate long pickup fee for trips with long pickups.

Tips, tolls, and any other surcharges are not included in the fare that’s shown upfront. Tolls, fees, surcharges, and any tips paid to you by riders will be paid to you with the fare upon final payout.

As Uber works to improve its marketplace, we may occasionally test functionality and pricing for different groups of drivers.
