How Can I Limit Tracking Calls?

To minimize the need for tracking calls, we recommend using one or more of our automated tracking solutions. Options include the Uber Freight app, an ELD, aggregator or EDI. While there may still be occasional reasons for us to reach out, these tools can significantly decrease the frequency of calls. Our team may request updates starting 6 hours before the pickup start.

The Visibility team will need to contact you when crucial information is missing. You can help reduce the frequency of these calls by proactively providing the necessary details immediately after booking and throughout the transport of your load:

  • Assign the Driver: Include driver details, contact number, and email or add a tracking number
  • Vehicle Details: Provide truck and trailer number
  • Load Updates: Share ETA’s for pickup, confirm on time arrivals, and dispatch the load prior pickup appointment start
  • Origin and Destination: Record In and Out times at both origin and destination

Will I still get calls if I’m using an automated tracking source?

When automated tracking is working properly, we don’t expect to call drivers or dispatchers to obtain tracking updates. However, if real-time location data is not working properly or if there are non-tracking issues regarding a load, Uber Freight may still call to confirm necessary load details or ask about other matters.
