How do I update my profile?

To change your name or email:

1. For iOS users, go to SETTINGS and tap EDIT ACCOUNT under your name. For Android users, go to SETTINGS, tap the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner and select EDIT ACCOUNT.
2. Type your account password and tap SUBMIT.
3. Enter a new name and email address. When you take a ride, Uber will send your receipt to this email.
4. Tap SAVE when you’re done.

To change your phone number:

1. For iOS users, go to SETTINGS and tap EDIT ACCOUNT under your name. For Android users, go to SETTINGS, tap the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner and select EDIT ACCOUNT.
2. Type your account password and tap SUBMIT.
3. Enter a new mobile number.
4. Uber will send a text SMS with a verification code to this number. If you don’t receive the SMS within a few minutes, tap Resend.
5. Enter the verification code and tap SUBMIT.
6. Tap SAVE when you’re done.

To change your profile photo:

1. Go to SETTINGS and tap EDIT ACCOUNT.
2. Type your account password and tap SUBMIT.
3. Tap Change Photo. If your profile doesn’t already have a photo, tap the blank circle above your name.
4. Choose from TAKE PHOTO or CHOOSE FROM LIBRARY.
5. To take a photo, Tap OK to let Uber access your camera. Position your face in the center and press the Shutter button. To switch to the front-facing camera, press the Camera icon at the top right. When done, tap Use Photo.
6. To choose a photo from your device’s library, tap OK to to let Uber help you select an image from your library. Choose a photo and tap SAVE when you’re done.

If you receive an error message that your account details can’t be updated, please wait a few minutes and then try again.
