Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the new Earnings Guarantee in Ontario?

A: You are guaranteed to earn at least the provincial minimum wage for your active time. As of October 1, 2025, this rate is $17.60 per hour. This rate will increase with the provincial minimum wage, which is adjusted annually on October 1st. If your earnings at the end of a two-week period are less than this guaranteed amount, you will receive a “top-up” payment. For a full breakdown, see our Ontario Minimum Earnings Guarantee page.

Q: What is “active time”?

A: Active time is the period from when you accept a ride or delivery request until you complete the drop-off. Time spent online waiting for a request does not count as active time.

Q: What new information will I see before accepting a trip?

A: You will continue to see an upfront earnings estimate. You can now tap a button on the offer card to see additional details about how that estimate was calculated and why the trip was offered to you. Learn more on our Ontario Worker Rights & Transparency page.

Q: How does the new ratings transparency work?

A: You can now view your Daily Average Rating in your Profile Hub. This shows your average star rating (for drivers) or satisfaction rate (for delivery people) based on trips rated the previous day.

Q: What are my rights if my account is deactivated?

A: For most deactivations or suspensions lasting 24 hours or more, you must be provided with at least two weeks’ written notice that includes an explanation. This notice is not required in certain circumstances, such as for public safety concerns or willful misconduct.

Q: How do I see my earnings guarantee calculation?

A: You can view a detailed breakdown of your earnings guarantee, including any top-up payments, directly in the Driver App. We show you how on our Ontario Minimum Earnings Guarantee page.
