Food Safety is a critical aspect of the Uber Eats platform that works to minimize the amount of food safety related issues with restaurants on the app. Weekly emails are sent out to restaurants that receive reports of potential food safety violations from customers.
Violations are included but not limited to:
1. Foreign object(s) found in food resulting in injury
2. Foreign object(s) found in food not resulting in injury
3. Food poisoning or illness resulting in an emergency
4. Food that made customers sick with no hospitalization
5. Undercooked or raw food
All claims are investigated for fraud and require photo evidence from customers.
