No driving or delivering: You can’t take trip or delivery requests on the Uber app while your city change is processing.
Processing time: The process takes 3 to 5 business days. This timeline applies every time you switch cities.
New York City waitlist: Drivers looking to accept rider trips in NYC will be placed on a waitlist due to high driver numbers.
No temporary changes: We’re unable to support temporary city changes. The update process takes up to 5 days.
