How can I add or remove allergy instructions?

You can find Merchants or add allergy requests and dietary restrictions to your orders by following these instructions:

  1. Open the Uber Eats App and tap the filter icon under your delivery address.
  2. Scroll to the “DIETARY TYPE” section and choose your option: “VEGETARIAN, VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE, ALLERGY-FRIENDLY”.
  3. Once selected, tap “APPLY” to see the Merchants that have available options according to your restriction.
  4. Now it’s time to check the menu and place your order.

TO REMOVE THE RESTRICTIONS FILTER:

  1. Tap the “CLEAR ALL” option in the upper right corner of the filter icon bar (located under your delivery address).
  2. As soon as you apply this option, all Merchants will be available without restrictions.

TO ADD AN ALLERGY REQUEST:

  1. Select an item.
  2. Look for “ALLERGY REQUESTS” and tap “NOTE FOOD ALLERGIES FOR THIS DISH”.
  3. Tap “SELECT ALLERGENS” to add allergens (optionally, you can leave a note).
  • If you have added allergy requests to an item previously, you may see recently applied allergens.
  1. Tap “APPLY TO ITEM” and add the item to your cart.
  2. Review your allergy requests in the shopping cart. To update a request, select the item and then the allergy request.

The Merchant must notify you if they cannot fulfill the request. If you are notified, you will have 10 minutes to respond before the order is automatically canceled.

IMPORTANT: Avoid including allergy instructions in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS field. Merchants may follow allergy requests added here, but both they and the Uber Eats App are not responsible for doing so.

TO REMOVE PRESET ALLERGY REQUESTS: 1. Select an item. 2. Next to “ALLERGY REQUESTS”, tap “CLEAR”. 3. Tap “CONFIRM” to remove the allergy request.”
