The first step necessary to get the light goods transport license is to obtain the certificate of professional capacity for light goods transportation (“l’attestation de capacité professionnelle de transport léger de marchandises”).
For that, you should pass a written exam requiring the completion of a mandatory 102-hour training course.
Once you have passed the exam, you will receive your certificate of professional capacity for light goods transportation (“l’attestation de capacité professionnelle de transport léger de marchandises”) within 2 to 3 months.
Then, you will be asked to register your company in the transport register via a dedicated form (Ile-de-France / Outside Ile-de-France) by uploading the certificate of professional capacity for light goods transportation that you have obtained.
3 conditions must be met in order to obtain the licence: to have the driver qualification certificate; to be registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register ; to have a financial capacity of 1,800 euros for the first vehicle and 900 euros for all subsequent vehicles.
