What is Uber Reserve?

WHAT IS UBER RESERVE?

Uber Reserve is a feature in the Uber app that allows you to schedule a Premium or Economy trip from 90 days and up to 30 mins in advance with a number of included benefits:

Upfront pricing: The fare for your trip will be provided upfront so you’ll know exactly how much the trip will cost on the day. (Note: a fare adjustment may take place if there is a significant increase in the time or distance of the trip due to factors like a change in the destination, traffic or route.). The upfront price is inclusive of any applicable surge, tolls, surcharges and fees.
Upfront driver matching: Your request may be offered to interested Drivers as early as 7 days before the trip, so you will know in advance who will be picking you up.
Additional waiting time: Your driver will wait for you after the scheduled pickup time at no extra charge. This gives you added flexibility around your departure time if you need it.

WHICH PRODUCT CAN I REQUEST TO RESERVE A RIDE?

Please note that Premium or Economy reservations or product availability may vary, depending on where you’re requesting your ride.

HOW DO I REQUEST AN UBER RESERVE RIDE?

You can follow the steps below to reserve a trip:

Choose “Uber Reserve” from Uber home screen.
Then choose “Reserve a ride”
Enter your pickup & destination location.
Choose your preferred Date and Time.
Choose the product
An Uber Reserve requests must be created at least 30 mins in advance

We’ll send you reminders on the day of the trip and notify you when your ride is on the way.

To add multiple stops on with Reserve:

Click “Reserve” icon on the Main screen
Click “Reserve a ride”
Click “+” icon to open Multi Location Editor Fill in pickup location and stops You can add up to 5 stops, including your destination. You can then see the number of stops on your Reserve home screen.

HOW MUCH DOES UBER RESERVE COST?

Uber Reserve works with the same pricing as on-demand trips. There is a default reservation fee on top of that, please note that this can increase during peak hours.

An upfront price will be shown for all Reserve Rides at the time of booking inclusive of any applicable surge, tolls, surcharges and fees. The pricing includes the extra wait time that is part of the Reserve product.

For Economy Reserve requests, your driver will arrive 5 minutes early to the scheduled pickup time, and wait another 5 minutes at no extra charge starting from the scheduled pickup time. If you are not there 5 minutes after the pick up time, the trip can be cancelled and you will be charged a fixed cancellation fee.

For Premium Reserve requests, your driver will arrive 15 minutes early to the scheduled pickup time, and wait another 15 minutes at no extra charge. If you are not there 15 minutes after the pick up time the trip can be cancelled and you will be charged a fixed cancellation fare.

CAN I CANCEL AN UBER RESERVE RIDE?

You can cancel an Uber Reserve request at no charge up to an hour before the start of the ride. However, you will be responsible for the ride fare if the request is canceled within an hour of the scheduled start time. A fixed cancellation fee applied when this happens may vary, depending on the type of reservation.

Choose “Uber reserve” from the Uber home screen.
Then choose “Reserve a ride”
Enter your pickup & destination location.
Choose your preferred Date and Time.
Choose the product

CAN I ORDER AN UBER RESERVE RIDE AT THE AIRPORT

A Scheduled Airport pickup can be requested directly through your app by following the steps below:

Tap the ‘Reserve’ icon in your Uber app
Enter your pickup airport in the pickup location field
Enter your destination in the “Where to?” field
Select your pickup date
Enter your flight number
Select a vehicle option then tap ‘Reserve’ (button will display your vehicle selection).

We’ll automatically adjust your reservation based on the flight information you provide, so your driver is ready and waiting at the airport when your flight lands, whether it’s on time, early or delayed.

If your flight is cancelled, we’ll cancel your trip for free. You will be able to rebook the reservation accordingly.

If reserving an airport pickup isn’t available in your area, the app will notify you to choose a different option.

HOW MUCH DOES UBER RESERVE AT THE AIRPORT COST?

Reserve at Airport requests work with the same pricing as other standard products. They are more expensive as a default reservation fee is added to the trip price. An estimated price will be shown for all Scheduled Rides at the time of booking, and the reservation fee amount will be included.

Once your flight has landed, your driver gets notified and complimentary wait time will begin (45 mins for Economy trip, 60 mins for Premium).

Your driver will wait at the airport, at a designated pick-up area. The designated pick-up area is marked in your app. Once you are ready to be picked up, let the driver know using the features in the app.

For Cancellations:

If you are unable to meet the driver within allocated complimentary wait time, the trip can be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee.

You can cancel your trip without being charged up to one hour before your scheduled flight. If you cancel within one hour of your scheduled flight you will be charged a cancellation fee.
