I'm not receiving email, SMS, or push notifications

We understand how frustrating it can be ‌when you cannot log in or perform a specific action on the app because you didn’t receive the code verification or push notifications. This usually happens when you’ve configured two-factor authentication or changed your communication preferences.

You’ll find steps ‌to help you with this in the following articles:

Issues receiving SMS messages

If you’re having issues receiving SMS messages, make sure:

  • You’re in an area with good cell reception;
  • Your phone number stored in the Uber app matches your current phone number.

Issues receiving email messages or push notifications

  • Check your spam inbox as sometimes Uber emails can accidentally be stored there;
  • Review if your Uber email matches your default email;
  • Check if Uber is allowed to send notifications in the operating system (iOS or Android settings);
  • Review the email subscription settings in the Communication hub.
