What's Errand?

Errand is a service in which Users can request an “Errand” (extra task or favor) through the Uber App from a start point (store, supermarket, house, etc.) or end point of the requested trip, for example:

  • To pick up clothes at the dry cleaners.
  • To collect an item at a store and bring it to a specific destination.
  • To complete express pickup services at supermarkets or shopping centers, etc.

How does it work?

To request an Errand, you should follow these steps:

  1. Open the Uber App.
  2. Go to the delivery section.
  3. Enter the starting point and drop-off point for the Errand.
  4. Select the Errand modality.
  5. Let the Driver know the details of the Errand via in-app chat or adding the instructions in our free-form notes section before placing the request. Include details such as Errand description, contact information, pickup and delivery instructions you want to specify to the Driver.

Note: Remember that the rate of the trip will be charged to your account through the Uber App and will be calculated according to time and distance, so additional charges may be generated (for time, traffic, etc.); in these cases, if the payment does not cover the total of the final price, a pending amount that you will have to pay on your next trip could be generated.

  1. If applicable, share the trip with the recipient so he can track the delivery details in real-time.
  2. Remember that you are responsible for your Errand, and both sender and receiver can track it in the Uber App.
