Understanding your acceptance rate

Acceptance rate is the percentage of requests that you accept while online. Consistently accepting requests helps maximize earnings for you and ensures that the platform is reliable for everyone.

Acceptance rates

  • Your acceptance rate is the number of trips you’ve accepted out of the last 200 exclusive requests sent directly to you.
  • If you received fewer than 200 exclusive requests since December of 2021, your acceptance rate is calculated based on the total number of exclusive requests you’ve received in that time.
  • Consistently accepting and completing trip requests helps to ensure that the Uber app runs smoothly

We know that sometimes things come up that prevent you from accepting every trip request.

High acceptance rates are a critical part of a reliable app but your acceptance rate doesn’t lead to permanent deactivation.

Best practices

To maintain a good acceptance rate and avoid unnecessary declines:

  • Go offline if you’re not available to accept new trips.
    • We know that sometimes things come up that prevent you from accepting every trip request. If you do not intend to take trip requests, we ask that you log off the app.
  • Consistently accept requests to help maximize earnings for you and ensures that the platform is reliable for everyone.
    • If you fail to accept a series of requests consecutively, you may be signed out of the app since we consider you’re unavailable. However, you can sign back in immediately when you’re available.
  • Double-check your account trip settings to ensure you’re receiving trip offers that you are willing to take.
