You can provide tracking updates through the Uber Freight app, web portal, ELD integration, or third-party data aggregators (P44 and MacroPoint).
The Uber Freight app is a reliable method of providing real-time status updates. The app allows fleet managers and dispatchers to limit rate visibility to drivers. This allows you the freedom to manage your fleet while being compliant with Uber Freight’s tracking policy.
You can use the app in addition to the web portal, ELD integration, or third-party data aggregators (P44 and MacroPoint) to provide a comprehensive visibility to shippers.
Check out how the Uber Freight app works here.
You can update load statuses and drivers’ in and out times through the Uber Freight web portal.
Updates can also be provided through Uber Freight support via the help menu.

Uber Freight offers ELD integration options for Motive, Samsara, and Transflo/Geotab. You can integrate the ELD in your truck with Uber Freight so the ELD will automatically provide status updates.
You’ll need to sign an updated carrier agreement, which includes telematics data sharing consent. Please contact uf-automated-tracking@uber.com for more information.
Uber Freight offers ELD integration options for Motive, Samsara, and Transflo/Geotab. If your ELD provider is among those listed, you can provide automated status updates by connecting with Uber Freight and providing a truck number for each load.
If you don’t have a compatible ELD but are interested in getting one, Uber Freight offers discounts through Motive and Samsara. Check out this link for more information.
Uber Freight currently partners with 2 third-party aggregators. You can provide policy compliant tracking updates through P44 and MacroPoint If you don’t have a compliant ELD and you’d prefer not to use the Uber Freight web portal or app.
Project44
Make sure to provide an accurate truck and trailer number on every load.
MacroPoint
Uber Freight prefers to use the Uber Freight app, web portal, ELD integration, or third-party data aggregators since they provide the most real-time visibility to shippers. If your carrier has an EDI (TMS) integration with Uber Freight, this can also be considered as a source of automated tracking for larger fleets.
If your carrier is interested in exploring an EDI connection with Uber Freight, please reach out to freight-solutions@uber.com to discuss the feasibility of integration. Integrations typically take about 1-3 weeks and tracking statuses must be maintained in TMS for automatic updates to be successful.
