What is it?
For those times when you have an important appointment or need to get somewhere in a hurry, this is the ride for you. With ‘UberX Priority’, we offer a faster pick up than with UberX for a small surcharge.
How does it work?
When using the Uber app, you’ll be able to choose ‘UberX Priority’ in exactly the same way you would request an UberX trip. ‘UberX Priority’ gives your ride request priority, meaning faster pickup and lower wait times. The faster pickup is compared to that of a regular UberX trip. A small fixed surcharge is included in the upfront price that’s displayed before you confirm your trip. If the driver is not able to make the pick-up within the announced time, you’ll not be charged for the surcharge and you’ll be notified in the app. UberX Priority is not yet available at airports
How do I opt-in?
There is no opt-in required. ‘UberX Priority’ will appear automatically in your app. Keep in mind, UberX trips are subject to availability. UberX Priority is not yet available at airports.
