DC Fee

The District of Columbia mandates a fee equivalent to 6% of the gross trip receipt. This fee is applied to all non-taxi trips originating in DC and will show up on your receipt as “DC Fee.”

DC Digital Dispatch Surcharge

The District also mandates a separate digital dispatch surcharge that applies to all non-taxi trips originating in DC. This per-trip charge varies based on the type of vehicle that completed the trip:

• $.10 for zero-emission vehicles
• $.15 for hybrid vehicles
• $.25 for all other vehicles

This will show up on your receipt as “Digital Dispatch Surcharge.”
