Managing business account payment methods

Business account payment methods are used to pay for eligible Uber for Business activity when your organization uses Your company pays.

Company payment methods

When your organization pays centrally, eligible activity is charged according to your organization’s configured payment and billing setup. Administrators can manage applicable organization payment methods from the Uber for Business dashboard.

When employees pay individually

Eligible new organizations in India and Brazil that use employee Travel or Meals may instead select Employees pay and expense later during onboarding.

With this billing setup, employees pay for eligible Travel and Meals activity using payment methods on their individual Uber accounts.

Employees manage their individual payment methods through their own Uber accounts. These are separate from the payment methods administrators manage for an Uber for Business organization.

Can I change from employee-paid to company-paid by adding a company payment method?

No. Adding or managing a payment method doesn’t change the organization’s billing type.

Employees pay and expense later or Company pays centrally is selected during onboarding for an eligible new organization. Self-serve conversion between the two billing types after billing setup is complete isn’t supported through this feature.
