How can I sell alcohol on the Uber Eats app?

To sell alcohol through the Uber Eats app, merchants must meet the following criteria in addition to agreeing to the Alcohol Terms:

  • Submit a valid alcohol license to Uber Eats (see how to submit your alcohol license below, depending on your state)
  • Complete any additional requirements through the Uber Eats app depending on your state (see additional requirements below, depending on your state)
  • Be located in an area where the sale of alcohol through Uber Eats is available (see locations below)

Do not add alcohol to a menu without working with Uber Eats. Alcohol items listed on accounts that have not been properly configured to sell alcohol on Uber Eats will be removed and could result in termination from the platform. Please email restaurants@uber.com if you have questions or are interested in selling alcohol through the Uber Eats app.

It is the responsibility of the merchant to:

  • Comply with all applicable alcohol laws, regulations and policies, including as they relate to the sale and service of alcohol products
  • Ensure their license is valid for alcohol sales through the Uber Eats platform
  • Remove alcohol items from their menu on the Uber Eats platform if the license is revoked, suspended or expired

  • Within your Uber Eats Manager portal, navigate to the Offerings tab under Settings. Here, you will see the ability to “Add Alcohol.”
  • Once you accept the Terms and Conditions, you can select which location(s) you wish to start selling alcohol. You will need to upload an alcohol license for each location individually and our team will review it within 1 business day.
  • For MO, OR, and WA only: You will also need to set up a profile with “PayPal-Braintree,” a payment service provider. You will receive an email detailing whether your profile was approved or if additional information is needed. Only when this is set up will your license be reviewed.
  • You will receive an email detailing whether your license was approved, along with the reason(s) listed if the license could not be approved.
  • If your license is approved, you will receive an email with a guide that walks you through how to add alcoholic items to your menu. You can either add your items yourself via Menu Maker or choose to work with our team by emailing your menu template to restaurants@uber.com.
