“Shop & Deliver” is a new delivery modality in which you will be responsible to: pick, pack and pay for the User’s order using a credit card called Plus Card or using the Uber payment code, in addition to making delivery as usual.
When you receive this type of order, it will be shown as “Shop & Deliver” in your app. After accepting the order, you must go to the Store. Upon arrival, you can slide the “Start Shopping” button to see the User’s Shopping List with the requested items and their details in order to start shopping.
If an item is not available, the app will guide you step by step to fulfill the order as desired by the customer. You can also contact the User through a phone call using the “Phone” button or the “Chat” one. (You will find it in the upper right corner of the “Shopping list”). That way, you can ask them any relevant questions or you can also communicate with the Uber support team.
Once you have finished collecting the items, you will proceed to pay with the Plus Card or Uber payment code, whichever the Uber App indicates, and you will need to attach a photo of the receipt to the order.
After making the payment, you must deliver the order to the User, following the App suggestions, just as it would be done on a regular order.
Important:
If it is not possible to use the Plus Card, you may pay with your own resources and you will receive a refund in no more than 3 business days (in case you paid with a personal credit/debit card or cash).
If it is not possible to pay with the payment code, we suggest that you contact support and do not pay with your own funds.
Remember that you should not split the payment of an order between several payment methods. If you pay in two installments, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a refund if necessary.
