Uber’s business outside of London will be moving to an Agent model from 2 January 2026.
What’s Changing?
As an ‘Agent’, Uber offers drivers services through the Driver app so that you can receive and accept trips directly from Riders.
Drivers will pay a ‘Service Fee’ to Uber after each trip they complete. As a Driver, there is no change to how you carry out your trips – you continue to have the flexibility to choose if, when and where you drive, and can complete trips and receive payment in the same way as you do today.
Upfront pricing will still be used and dynamic adjustments will still be applied to trips automatically, as they are today, depending on a number of factors. If you have feedback or a question that is not covered above, please write to us through the below form.
